Mission: Build Systems for AI|Genesis: B - Active|Architecture: Freeze v1.0|Current WO: WO-F-000

LEXICON

Status: Seed (Genesis B) Purpose: Canonical definitions for every Foundry term.

Language defines architecture. This document is the source of truth for what Foundry words mean. If code and the Lexicon disagree, the Lexicon governs.

Core Layers

Genesis : The Program. The governing layer. Genesis governs.

Reconciliation note — 2026-07-21 (ADR-006). Under ADR-006 (Accepted, Brain 1), Etherom is the governing organizational authority and Genesis is Etherom's constitutional foundation and governing memory, not an organizational entity separate from Etherom. The original definition is preserved unchanged as the earlier architectural formulation.

Foundry : The System. The internal operating environment and canonical workplace for AI. Foundry builds.

Etheron : The Product. The customer-facing AI ecosystem. Etheron delivers.

Governance

Brain 1 : The human governing authority. Issues Work Orders and approves all merges to main.

Constitution : The supreme governing document of foundry-app (FOUNDRY.md).

Genesis Constitution : The founding principles of the Genesis program (constitution/GENESIS-CONSTITUTION.md).

Design Lock / Architecture Freeze : The locked architectural decisions (DESIGN_LOCK.md). Current version: v1.0. Changes only through an approved ADR.

ADR : Architectural Decision Record. The only instrument that may change frozen architecture.

Work

Work Order (WO) : A unit of approved, scoped work issued by Brain 1, assigned to an AI worker, reviewed by AIR-X05, and merged on Brain 1's approval. Executed exactly; scope is never expanded.

Phase : A named stage of the Genesis program. Current phase: Genesis B — Active.

Knowledge

ROM (Read-Only Memory) : Permanent organizational knowledge. Durable, distilled facts that survive beyond any single conversation or Work Order.

Lexicon : This document. The canonical definitions for all Foundry terms.

Registry : A canonical catalog of one class of entity (capability, provider, protocol, pipeline, tool, project, AI worker).

Entities

Capability : A function Foundry depends on, defined independently of any provider.

Provider : A source that implements capabilities (for example, Anthropic).

AI Worker : A registered agent that performs work inside Foundry (for example, AIR-X05, AIR-X08).

Tool : An instrument available to AI workers.

Protocol : An operating procedure for AI workers and humans.

Pipeline : An ordered flow that carries out a protocol or process.

Registered AI Workers

AIR-X05 : Anthropic AI worker responsible for Architecture and Review.

AIR-X08 : Anthropic AI worker responsible for Implementation. Claude Code is AIR-X08.

Spaces

BOOT : The mandatory reading and entry sequence every AI follows before performing work. See boot/BOOT.md.

Foundry Lab : The research charter and active open questions.

Sandbox : Space for experimental, non-permanent work.
